It is proposed to fill up vacancy in the following ranks in the Intelligence Bureau under the Ministry of Home Affairs on absorption/deputation (including short term contract basis) as mentioned below.
Post Library & Information Officer ( on absorption/deputation)
No of post 01 vacancy, General Central Service (Group-A), Gazetted, Non-Ministerial
Pay Level 11 of the pay matrix Rs. 67700-208700 as per 7th CPC).
Eligibility : Composite Method [Deputation (including short term contract) plus Promotion] Officers of the Central Govt. or State Governments or Union territories or Universities or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or SemiGovernment, Autonomous or Statutory Organizations: (a) (i) holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department; or (ii) with five years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the posts in pay band-3, Rs. 15600-39100 plus Grade pay of 5400/-or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; or (iii) with seven years' service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in posts in Pay Band-2, Rs. 9300-34800/- plus Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- or equivalent in the parent cadre or department; and (b) Possessing the following qualifications and experience, namely:- (i) Master's Degree in Library Science or Information Science or Documentation science from a recognized University or Institute; and (ii) Seven years' professional experience in a Public or Institutional Library.
2. The departmental Assistant Library and Information Officer in Pay Band-2, Rs. 9300- 34800/- plus Grade pay of Rs. 4600/- possessing a Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University and a Bachelor's Degree in Library Science from a recognized University with seven years' regular service in the grade shall also be considered along with outsiders and in case he is selected for appointment to the post, the same shall be deemed to have been filled by promotion.
