Master’s degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation with atleast 55% of marks or its equivalent grade B+ in the UGC seven point scale and consistently good academic record. Qualifying in the National level test (NET/SLET) conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by UGC is mandatory. Atleast 5 years’ experience as Assistant Librarian in University Library OR 10-15 years’ experience as a College Librarian. Evidence of innovative Library service and organization of published work should be provided. Should have hands on experience in Library Automation.

Ph.D. / M.Phil. degree in Library Science/ Information Science/ Documentation/ Archives and manuscript-keeping is desirable.
