Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure that students and staff are effective users of ideas and information
• Empower students to be critical thinkers, enthusiastic readers, skillful researchers, and use information ethically
• Foster a love of learning and reading in each student
• Assist student learning and the effectiveness of instruction
• Share communication skills; instill enthusiasm in others by showing how they are an important part of the library
• Foster an environment of creativity, innovation, and openness to new ideas

Skill Sets

• MYP/IB/ IGCSE/CIE experience preferred
• Curriculum development knowledge is required
• Possess highly developed interpersonal skills and a team-player
• Excellent verbal and written English skills
• Commitment, enthusiasm and preparedness to learn
• Certification as a teacher from an official certifying authority
• Excellent references from the candidates immediate supervisors.
• Cross cultural sensitivity and an international mindset
• Good health
• Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, teachers and others
• Positive attitude
• Ability to differentiate instruction for all learners
• Ability to develop and deliver successful academic programs

Education

• B.Ed or M.Ed Degree or certification for teaching , with a preference for a master's degree
• Successful experience teaching IB/CIE/IGCSE or Junior College

Work Experience

• At least 3 years of teaching experience
