4. Scale of Pay	Level – 14 as per 7th CPC (₹ 1,44,200 – ₹ 2,18,200)
5. Age	Preferably below 57 years
6. Method of Recruitment	Direct Recruitment OR Deputation on Tenure basis for five years or till superannuation at 65 years, whichever is earlier
7. Educational and Other Qualifications for Direct Recruitment	Essential Qualifications: i) Master's degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade. ii) At least 10 years as a Librarian at any level in a University Library OR 10 years teaching as Assistant/Associate Professor in Library Science OR 10 years experience as College Librarian. iii) Evidence of innovative library services including ICT integration. iv) Ph.D. Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation / Archives and Manuscript keeping. Deputation on Tenure Basis: Officers from Central/State Governments, Universities and Autonomous Organisations holding analogous posts on regular basis with prescribed qualifications and experience.
8. Tenure of Deputation	Initially One Year, extendable up to 5 years or until 65 years of age, whichever is earlier.
9. Desirable Experience	Same as Essential Qualifications mentioned above.
10. Nature of Duties	As per Statutes/Ordinances/Rules of the University and assignments from University Authorities.
11. Mode of Selection	As per UGC Regulations 2018.
